I was born in Idaho. I grew up in Kennewick, Washington. I graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Art.

For 25 years I was a homebuilder in the Kennewick area. About 15 years ago I decided to make a change. I wasn’t going to live forever and there were some things I wanted to do before I died. So I shut down my 40-50 homes a year business, resigned my position on the board of a community bank and decided to pursue my original passion in art.

In 2005 my wife and I sold our home of 20 years and moved 500 miles to Inkom, Idaho. There we built a new home with a studio on 10 acres on the side of Mount Bonneville.

My wife and I are the parents of 7 children and the grand parents of 21 grandchildren
