1915- remembering yesterday, today

Why I became an artist continued...

In junior high, I took art classes and didn't learn a lot in the terms of art, but it was at this time that my passion for cars, airplanes, and motorcycles grew. At home I would sit for hours using a homemade drawing board that my dad made for me; I would draw pictures of cars, airplanes, and motorcycles. I didn't have any money so I would go to the store and look through the magazines looking for any ideas to draw and re-design.

And what I learned is not what you learn in school, it is what you learn by the doing.
