In the1920s the Bugatti Type 35 ruled racing in Europe winning more than 1000 victories. It was the most successful of all the Bugatti racing types. The Type 35 won the 1926 Grand Prix World Championship, the Monaco Grand Prix three times, and the difficult Targa Florio five times. Bugattis were hand-built and under constant development. Each iteration the of Type 35 received an alphabetically progressive letter i.e., Type 35, 35A, 35B, 35C, 35T, and so on.
